LETS START 2018 RIGHT
LIFE DECLUTTER
You can't go back to change the beginning but you can start where you are and change the ending!... C.S LEWIS
Wow look how fast time is flying as we already into the third week of 2018 (20 days later), and some of us are still trying to adjust life in the right perspective just to get the best out of this year. From my previous post I talked about the lessons I learned in the past year and hence im ready to apply these lessons into this year.
Instead of making new resolutions this year, I told myself I am going to continue progressing in all aspects of my life . I look forward to smashing this progress hence I need to be consistent to achieve my aim. My first goal is to DECLUTTER all aspects of my life for the start of this year. Although I am still in the process of decluttering my life I still would love to share these few tips.
1. Declutter your Mind
1. Declutter your Mind
First off, decluttering ones mind, soul and body takes a lot. It is easier to say "positive vibes only" but in reality can there be "only" positive vibes surrounded by you if your environment and the people around you isn't positive?
Lets be real here. Life is a mixture of guns and roses hence positivity isn't guaranteed always, but I am training my mind to see positive in all situations regardless of how bad it is. I tell myself, "Sylvia you got this and you been through worst so get out there and make the best out of it" and believe it or not everything gets better.
Try this, train your mind to see the good always.
2. Declutter the physical (BODY)
It takes a healthy body aside a healthy mind to get things done right hence to progress. Exercising of course is the first step to a health body. Exercise accompanied by good diet exudes great energy. Having good energy means good life and positivity! How I declutter my body is by taking in a warm green tea beverage. This helps me by getting rid of old residue sitting in my body (if you know what I mean )😂. Doing this gives me a new sense of energy along with inconsistent exercises and healthy diet (we all know its hard keeping a consistent exercise plan and healthy diet ).
3. Declutter your surroundings and closet
Next step is to get rid of old items sitting in your room and closets.
Old clothes, shoes, lingeries as well as beddings that we do not use can be dust collectors in our closets and rooms and we can all attest to that. I know sometimes it hurts to get rid of favorite items in our possession but guess what everything has got time to go ad that sucks 😓. I love a clean and free space hence I take time to clear my closets and room every now and then. When cleaning my closet I go by the rule of thumb"if you haven't worn it in a year, there is no reason it should make it to the next year". I throw out old stuff and replace them with new ones. Also I change the look of my room by changing the position of items. This gives it a sense of new atmosphere and it kind of gives me a fresh new start and vibrance.(PS: Ignore the flying teddy bear that photobombed the pic😂)
4. Declutter your phone
This last phase of "my"decluttering may be a weird one but its actually my favorite. I really just go through my phone and delete all the inactive contacts in my phone. We all know those people who never call or text you unless they need something, those people who do not hit you up whatsoever, and to be very real I am very guilty of this as well😥. I delete old and inactive contacts as well as videos and pictures that just eats up my phones storage space. Doing this makes me know the real people I am connected to. It also makes me feel light-weighted and ready for new people and events I can save up in my phone(I am a sucker for new adventures🙈).
To make 2018 your year you gotta start right!
Hope you enjoyed this post. I would love to know how yo started the year so far and do not forget to leave atleast one tip down in the comment section down below.
